 Last season (2003) saw the 49ers
come third in their division standings with a .438 percentage,
having won seven games and lost nine. The San Francisco 49ers is
one of the four teams in the West division of the National
Football Conference (NFC), of the National Football League
(NFL). Curtis Conway dream has finally come true after signing
with the 49ers on Thursday (May 27), though he is thirty three
the former New York Jets wide receiver is happy to be in the

Other new signings are,
cornerback Jimmy Williams who signeda one year contract, they
resigned kicker Todd Peterson to a one year deal, signed
cornerback Calvin Carlyle, cornerback Antuan Simmons, punter
Andy groom, cornerback Joselio Hanson and guard Alonzo
Cunningham. The 49ers also promoted Ted Tollner to offensive
coordinator, named Dan Cozzetto the tight ends coach and named
Rich Olson the quarterback coach.

Bowls), have won five National Football Conference
Championships, seventeen Division Championships (NFC West) and
have been to the playoffs since 1949, twenty three times. The
San Francisco 49ers stadium (Candlestick Park ), which has a
seating capacity of 69,843 is located in San Francisco,
California. The Stadium was opened on April, 1960.
